Visiting a church for the first time can be a nerve-racking experience.
Here’s a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help make a visit to H2O Church that little bit easier.
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT CHURCH?
If you’re planning to come to H2O Church service on Sunday mornings, We open at 9:45am and our service begins at 10:00am. We suggest arriving a bit earlier to find a parking space and walk to the bottom of the “Bero Bowlo” Club. Our Welcome Team are ready to greet visitors from 9:45am onwards, so we would love you to arrive early if you can.
Parking and the club entrance is at the rear of the club on Lennox St. You can find the map on our Home page on this website.
HOW LONG DOES THE SERVICE GO FOR?
It’s hard to give an exact time, as our songs and Pastor Nath’s talk lengths can vary from week to week, but our services generally last 80 – 90 minutes, however, we’d love you to stick around longer so we can get to know you (and so you can get to know us!)
The Club puts on a fabulous Lunch upstairs too, perfect for after Church!
WHAT DO I WEAR AND WHERE DO I SIT?
There is NO dress code at H2O, wear whatever you feel comfortable, however, if you wish to utilise the bowling clubs facilities after church you will need to adhere to their dress code. There is NO reserved seating at H2O come in and sit wherever you feel comfortable. If you arrive late there will be someone to usher you to an available seat.
WHAT ARE YOUR BIBLE TALKS ABOUT?
Our pastors preach from the Bible. This means we open up the Bible during every talk, hear it read, and then hear the pastor apply it. We usually work through applying the Bible to everyday life, looking at a small section week by week, but we sometimes hear about what the Bible says about Big topics too. Every so often we have a guest preacher who might give a talk outside of our regular preaching series, and performing artists as well.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I GIVE H2O MY PERSONAL DETAILS?
H2O takes privacy seriously, during the service visitors/new attendees will be asked to provide their contact information if they wish. We use this to give you more information about H2O and any groups or future events you may be interested in. Your details will be stored in our church management system ‘ELVANTO’ and will NOT be sold to a third party and are only used internally! You can unsubscribe from our messages at any time.
CAN I BRING MY KIDS?
Absolutely! We have many families attending H2O Church. Each Sunday morning Kids church runs for the duration of our “Family” service. Unsure where to take your children when you arrive? Just look for the Welcome Team member just inside the club’s doors – they’ll be able to point you in the right direction!
During school holidays we love to give our Kids Church leaders a break, and we enjoy the whole family in the main service, even if it is a bit noisier (c’mon, family noise is the BEST!)
We’d love to see you and your kids join us!
